What is your "Mission Statement"?
Scribblers' Retreat Writers' Conference is a non-profit literacy and literary arts organization committed to promoting literacy by producing a unique series of annual conferences designed to stimulate the "writing" side of literacy. We promote the literary arts by providing a forum whereby authors can interact with publishers, editors and their peers in an atmosphere of inspiration and appreciation.
Our ten sessions are carefully designed to educate all attendees in an entrancing and private setting by the sea. Each speaker is a highly qualified educator who can impart wisdom borne from experience and achievement through practical methods and in eloquent terms. Our conferences teach writing to students at any level from grammar school to senior citizens and from budding, young authors to seasoned and published writers.
Generous scholarship programs encourage students to hone their craft in a professional atmosphere so that interaction between established authors and budding young authors may occur.
