The Scribblers' Ball

The historic Metts Mansion in beautiful Savannah, Georgia will be hosting a fund-raiser for Scribblers' Retreat Writers' Conference, (a non-profit organization dedicated to literacy and the literary arts next year.  This black tie (optional) event promises to be an "old world" extravaganza designed to enjoy the best of everything in an atmosphere of lushness and gentility within view of the famous fountain in Forsyth Park.
So, in the spirit of true Southern hospitality, y'all come and join us in embracing the literary arts under ancient live oaks dripping with Spanish moss. Author, educators, speakers in the  international publishing world and all who's passion is the written word and who appreciate the precious liberty thereof, are invited to attend! There will be live music by Mike Hulette, "The Sax Man", mint juleps served on the veranda, good food and dancing under the stars.
Come and plan to stay awhile in lovely historic Savannah, home of SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). Take leisurely walks through the squares, a trolley tour or just meander along River Street and see the big ships pass by only yards away.
